Islamabad: Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has praised Pakistan’s role in promoting peace amid the ceasefire developments involving Iran, the United States, and Israel, calling the country a “peacemaker.”
In a statement shared on social media platform X, Afridi said Pakistan has played a positive role in promoting peace and reducing tensions in the region. “Islam stands for peace, therefore Pakistan is a peacemaker,” he wrote.
He concluded his message with the slogan “Pakistan Zindabad,” expressing strong support for the country’s peace efforts.
