Resolution Welcoming Iran-US Ceasefire Submitted in Punjab Assembly

Lahore: A resolution welcoming the ceasefire between Iran and United States has been submitted in the Punjab Assembly.
According to reports, the resolution was moved by Pakistan Muslim League (N) lawmaker Hina Parvez Butt. It states that the House welcomes the Iran-US ceasefire and pays tribute to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
The resolution notes that Pakistan has made sincere efforts for peace in the Middle East, and its peaceful diplomatic initiatives are now being recognized globally. It further describes the development as a major success for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his government.
According to the text, Pakistan, which some had attempted to isolate internationally, is now playing an effective role in key global decisions. The resolution also states that Shehbaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar, and Syed Asim Munir have emerged as heroes of the Muslim world.
The House expressed full support for all decisions taken by the federal government aimed at promoting peace.
