Punjab Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb Praises PM Shahbaz for Managing Fuel Price Hike, Promises Relief

In Lahore, Punjab Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb commented on the recent increase in petroleum prices, assuring that relief measures will continue as global conditions improve.
In a statement shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), she lauded Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif for his leadership in delaying the transfer of rising international oil prices to the public for an entire month. She described this approach as an example of responsible leadership, effective strategy, and strong fiscal management.
Aurangzeb explained that when the price increase became unavoidable, the government opted for targeted subsidies to balance the burden rather than placing it entirely on the general public. She emphasized that such leadership ensures citizens are supported even in difficult times.
She expressed gratitude to Allah that Pakistan is under leadership that understands public hardships and takes practical measures for their welfare. She also congratulated all federal units, political parties, and provincial chief ministers for unity in addressing national challenges. She concluded that Pakistanis, united as a nation, will face these difficulties together, and further relief will be provided as global conditions improve.
