Pakistan Continues Efforts for Iran-US Ceasefire, Says PM Shehbaz Sharif

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan is actively continuing its efforts to promote a ceasefire in the ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States.

Addressing a meeting on the regional situation, the prime minister stated that Pakistan is being significantly affected by the conflict involving Iran, particularly facing economic challenges as a result.

He added that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is working tirelessly to reduce tensions in the region.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan has played a proactive role in trying to de-escalate the situation and cool down the conflict, and that efforts for a ceasefire are ongoing.
