Harnai Faces Severe Humanitarian Crisis After Storms and Hail; Pashtunkhwa MAP Criticizes Government Negligence

Harnai: The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) has raised alarm over a severe humanitarian crisis in Harnai following recent torrential rains, hailstorms, and strong winds that have devastated the district’s infrastructure. In an official statement, the party criticized government authorities, saying responsible agencies have shown complete negligence and inaction.

According to the statement, roads and bridges have been washed away, cutting off access for residents and preventing patients from reaching hospitals. Farmers’ crops have been destroyed, causing significant financial losses, and transporters have seen their livelihoods disrupted. PMAP highlighted that the already poor road conditions have worsened, leaving many routes completely unusable.

The party called for immediate emergency rescue and rehabilitation operations, restoration of transport routes, and compensation for affected farmers and residents, warning that the crisis is not only a natural disaster but also a consequence of governmental incompetence and poor planning.
