Four Militants Killed, Two Arrested in Security Operation in Kharan

Kharan: Security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Kharan, killing four militants and arresting two others during an exchange of fire, according to security sources.

The operation was launched on the basis of a tip-off regarding the presence of militants linked to a banned outfit. During the , heavy gunfire was exchanged between security personnel and the suspects, resulting in the deaths of four militants on the spot, while two others were apprehended .

Following the operation, security forces cordoned off the entire area and initiated a clearance operation to eliminate any remaining threats.

Authorities stated that a significant cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the militants. The arrested suspects have been shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.

Officials reiterated that operations against militant elements will continue without discrimination to maintain peace and stability in the province.
