Pakistani Youth Killed in Missile Strike in Iran, Repatriation Efforts Underway

Tehran: A 26-year-old Pakistani युवक, identified as Yasir Khan from Karachi’s Mauripur area, was killed in a missile strike in Iran.

According to family members, the incident occurred at the port city of Bandar Abbas, where Yasir was working on a tugboat at the time of the attack. His brother, Wajid Khan, stated that the attack took place on the night of March 23 while Yasir was on duty, leading to his death.

The family expressed concern that six days have passed since the incident, yet the body has not been repatriated to Pakistan. They also claimed that no official contact had been made initially and urged the government to ensure the immediate return of Yasir’s remains.

Following media reports, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran, Mudassir Tipu, directed the Pakistani consulate in Zahedan to take urgent steps for the repatriation process. He confirmed that arrangements are being made to bring Yasir’s body back to Karachi at the government’s expense.
