PCB Bars Sarfaraz Ahmed and Wahab Riaz from PSL Roles Over Conflict of Interest

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board has taken a key decision to prevent potential conflicts of interest by barring Sarfaraz Ahmed and Wahab Riaz from holding any roles in the Pakistan Super League.

According to sources, both former cricketers are currently full-time employees of the PCB, prompting the board to restrict their involvement in league-related activities to ensure transparency and avoid overlapping responsibilities.

Sarfaraz Ahmed, a member of the national selection committee, and Wahab Riaz, who serves as a mentor for the women’s team, have previously been associated with the management of Quetta Gladiators. However, following this decision, they will no longer be allowed to continue any duties within the PSL.

The move is being seen as a significant development in cricket circles and could influence future governance and policy decisions within the PCB.
