Storm Rains Cause Loss of Life and Property in Balochistan, Four Dead

Quetta: Torrential rains across several districts of Balochistan have caused significant loss of life and property, leaving at least four people dead and two others injured, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority.
The PDMA reported that in Jaffarabad District, a child died after falling into a rain-fed stream, while in Kohlu District, a man was killed when the roof of a house collapsed. In Kech District, two people were swept away by flash floods, resulting in their deaths.
The recent spell of heavy rains also caused widespread damage in Kech, Harnai District, Kohlu, Jaffarabad, Qila Abdullah District, and Pishin District.
According to official data, the highest rainfall was recorded in Pasni at 36 mm, followed by Barkhan with 25 mm. In Quetta, 14 mm of rain was recorded in the Sariab area, while the city received 9 mm.
Rescue and relief operations are underway in the affected areas, and the PDMA has issued an alert advising residents to avoid streams, flood channels, and structurally unsafe buildings.
