Family Denied Pre-Eid Visit with Imran Khan, Concerns Raised Over Transparency

Lahore: Maryam Riaz Vato, sister of Bushra Bibi, expressed regret over her family being denied a final meeting with Imran Khan before Eid.
In a statement on X, she said that even attempts to deliver a few basic items for Eid were rejected. She described the action as not only unfair but also “clearly illegal,” adding that the lack of law enforcement in Pakistan has become increasingly alarming.
Maryam Riaz Vato criticized authorities for failing to maintain transparency regarding Imran Khan’s health. “If there is truly nothing to hide about his condition, then why is our family being denied access?” she questioned.
She appealed to the government and relevant officials to immediately allow the visit and ensure adequate medical facilities for Imran Khan, emphasizing that no illegal obstruction or violation of human rights should occur.
