KP Government Launches Special Ramadan Package for Needy Families

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has introduced a special Ramadan relief package to support deserving families during the holy month of Ramadan.

As part of the initiative, the provincial government has also launched an online portal that allows citizens to check whether they are eligible for the relief package. According to official information, eligible individuals can verify their status by visiting the government website and entering their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) number.

The portal has been specifically developed to save citizens from visiting government offices and to enable them to check their eligibility from home through a simple online process. Once users enter their CNIC number, the system immediately informs them whether they have been selected for the Ramadan package.

Officials stated that under this program, thousands of deserving families will receive financial assistance as well as essential food items. The initiative aims to make basic necessities such as flour, sugar, cooking oil, and other essential goods more accessible to low-income households during Ramadan.

Authorities said that beneficiaries have been selected based on various socio-economic data to ensure that aid reaches those who genuinely need it.

To maintain transparency, the government introduced the online verification system, which reduces the chances of errors or confusion. Citizens have been advised to obtain information only through the official website and avoid relying on unverified sources.

According to the provincial government, the Ramadan package is an important step to support vulnerable segments of society and ensure that no family is deprived of basic necessities during the holy month. The government has also urged citizens to inform relevant authorities if they know of deserving individuals who are not included in the list so they can also receive assistance.

Officials added that providing information through the online portal will not only improve transparency but also make the distribution of aid faster and more efficient.
