US Consulate Services Remain Suspended in Karachi and Lahore

Consular services at the United States consulates in Karachi and Lahore remain suspended, according to the United States Embassy in Pakistan.
The embassy announced that **immigrant and non-immigrant visa appointments scheduled from today until March 13 have been canceled**. Applicants will receive instructions for rescheduling their appointments via email.
However, the embassy stated that **routine and emergency services for US citizens will continue**.
The suspension of services comes after the reported death of Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, in a US strike, which triggered **violent protests in several cities across Pakistan**.
Meanwhile, US citizens currently in Pakistan have been advised to **monitor local news and exercise caution**. 🚨🌍
