Alkhidmat Foundation Takes Responsibility for 1,400 Orphans, Donors Pledge Rs 48.5 Million in Quetta

Quetta: Alkhidmat Foundation, under the leadership of Chairman and Jamat-e-Islami Balochistan MPA Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, has pledged to support 1,400 orphans in Balochistan. Speaking at a donor conference and charity dinner organized on the occasion of World Orphan Day, 15th Ramadan, he emphasized the foundation’s role in serving society’s vulnerable segments, including orphans, students, and youth through skill development, IT education, and employment initiatives.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman highlighted that donors have pledged Rs 48.5 million in cash, land, and wheat to support these initiatives. He urged Balochistan’s wealthy citizens and business community to actively participate in charitable causes, reminding that caring for orphans is a shared responsibility and a highly virtuous act in Islam.

The event was attended by senior leaders of Jamat-e-Islami, Alkhidmat Foundation officials, political and social figures, journalists, scholars, women, and children. Alkhidmat Foundation Balochistan President Abdul Majeed Sarbazi thanked the donors, assuring transparency with regular audits and careful accounting of every contribution.

Dr. Ata-ur-Rehman, Deputy Emir of Jamat-e-Islami, also highlighted Quranic and Hadith guidance regarding orphan care, appealing to philanthropists, traders, and the general public to actively support the foundation’s welfare projects.
