US Claims Strikes on 2,000 Targets in Iran, 17 Naval Ships Destroyed

Washington: The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has claimed that the US military has conducted attacks on nearly 2,000 targets across Iran.
According to CENTCOM, the strikes destroyed 17 Iranian naval vessels, including submarines, leaving no Iranian ships present in the Arabian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, or the Gulf of Oman.
In retaliation, Iran reportedly launched over 500 ballistic missiles and more than 2,000 drones against US and allied positions.
Earlier, former US President Donald Trump stated that “everything” in Iran had been destroyed, including the Iranian Air Force, Navy, and leadership. He warned that while Iran wanted to negotiate, it was now too late, and hostilities would continue until US objectives were achieved.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also said the United States is targeting Iran’s missile sites, including nuclear and ballistic missile facilities. Rubio added that operations would continue until objectives are met and emphasized that Iran would not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons under any circumstances.
