Govt Announces Early Salary, Pension Disbursement Ahead of Eid

**Islamabad:** The government has announced early payment of salaries and pensions for public sector employees and pensioners ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, bringing relief to thousands of families preparing for the festival.

According to a notification issued by the Punjab Finance Department, all government employees in the province will receive their salaries for the current month on March 16 to facilitate Eid preparations. Pension payments will also be disbursed on the same date.

Officials said the decision aims to ease financial pressures and enable employees and retirees to make timely arrangements for Eid celebrations.

Interestingly, government employees had already received their February salaries earlier this month. With the advance payment of March salaries on March 16, many employees will effectively receive two salary payments within the same month.
