U.S. Embassy Seeks Additional Security for Missions in Islamabad and Peshawar

**Islamabad:** The Embassy of the United States, Islamabad has requested additional security measures for its missions in Islamabad and Peshawar amid reports of ongoing protests in parts of the country.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, the embassy said it is closely monitoring reports of demonstrations near the U.S. Consulates General in Karachi and Lahore. It also called for enhanced security arrangements at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad and the Consulate General in Peshawar.
The embassy further advised American citizens residing in Pakistan to stay alert and monitor local news for updates. It urged them to take appropriate safety precautions, remain aware of their surroundings, avoid crowded areas, and ensure their registration details are up to date.
The advisory comes as tensions in the region continue to evolve, prompting diplomatic missions to reassess security protocols and issue precautionary guidance to their nationals.
