Foreign Airline Airhostess Arrested at Karachi Airport in Smuggling Case

Karachi: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a foreign airline airhostess at Jinnah International Airport on charges of smuggling illegal items.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the arrest took place during a flight from Karachi to Riyadh, with the suspect traveling as a regular passenger. During investigations, she admitted to carrying out such smuggling operations for the past six months.

The spokesperson revealed that the airhostess’s statements indicated that 12 other airline crew members were also involved in the illegal operation. They were allegedly working in coordination with certain officials from agencies such as Airport Security Force (ASF), Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), customs, and airline counters, using official clearances to transport illegal items abroad.

The FIA has launched a full-scale investigation into the airline staff and associated individuals. The arrested airhostess remains in custody for further interrogation to uncover the entire network and completely dismantle the smuggling operation.

Authorities emphasized that this action is part of an ongoing crackdown against smuggling at airports and warned that involvement of airport staff or airline employees in such illegal activities will not be tolerated.
