Seven Children Killed, 20 Injured in Gas Cylinder Explosion in Chaman

Chaman: At least seven children were killed and 20 others, including women, were injured in a powerful gas cylinder explosion at a house near Tor Pul on College Road in Chaman.

According to police officials and the hospital’s Medical Superintendent, several rooms of the house collapsed following the blast. Authorities confirmed that the bodies of seven children were recovered from the rubble.

Reports indicate that a number of children had gathered at the house to receive lassi (a traditional yogurt-based drink) when the explosion occurred, turning the gathering into a tragic scene.

The collapse of the rooms trapped several children under the debris, resulting in multiple fatalities. Rescue operations are ongoing, and the injured have been shifted to hospital where they are receiving medical treatment.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion.
