Chinese Company Owner Gives Employees Millions in Cash Bonus—“Take As Much As You Can

Islamabad: In a remarkable gesture, the owner of a Chinese company allowed employees to take as much cash as they could from tables laden with millions of yuan during a company event.

Hainan Qiangshan Crane Co. Ltd., which earned a profit of 270 million yuan, distributed 180 million yuan (over 7 billion Pakistani rupees) as bonuses to employees. During the annual event, around 6 million yuan (more than 2 billion PKR) was given out in cash.

The event featured 800 tables set up for nearly 7,000 attendees. Employees were called on stage to receive prizes, while others were instructed to take as much cash as they could from the bundles placed on the tables within a set time limit.

The company’s owner, Chui Pi Jun, joked with the finance department, saying, “Why are we giving washing machines? Don’t you know how expensive gold has become? Bring cash and give each person an additional 20,000 yuan.”

Founded in September 2002, Hainan Qiangshan Crane manufactures cranes and other products, with operations in over 130 countries. Previously, in 2024, the company distributed 170 million yuan in bonuses, and in March 2025, on International Women’s Day, 16 million yuan was given to 2,000 female employees.

The event has gone viral on social media, showcasing an extraordinary and generous way of rewarding employees.
