Religious Affairs and IT Ministries Sign MoU to Fully Digitize Hajj Operations

**Islamabad:** The Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to modernize and fully digitize the Hajj operation in line with contemporary requirements.

Under the agreement, the Pak Hajj mobile application will be further improved to make it more efficient and user-friendly.

Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said that on the directives of the prime minister, efforts are being made to make Hajj operations more transparent and convenient. He stated that the digital system would help eliminate unnecessary delays and human errors.

He added that the initiative would also assist in achieving international standards in Hajj management.

Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja said that next year a complete end-to-end digital system will be introduced, covering the entire process from Hajj application submission to pilgrims’ return home. She also announced the establishment of a simple and user-friendly online Hajj portal for applicants.
