Pakistan Will Not Hesitate to Conduct Airstrikes in Afghanistan, Says Khawaja Asif

**Islamabad (Qudrat Roznama)** – Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has stated that Pakistan will not hesitate to carry out air operations inside Afghanistan if necessary to protect its national security.

In an interview with a French media outlet, Khawaja Asif said that recent attacks inside Pakistan are the result of a proxy war allegedly involving the Afghan Taliban government and India. He claimed that New Delhi, Kabul, and militant groups operating from Afghan territory are involved in orchestrating attacks against Pakistan.

The defence minister asserted that banned outfits, including Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and ISIS, are present in Afghanistan. He alleged that attacks on Pakistan cannot take place without the consent or support of the Kabul administration.

Khawaja Asif further warned that the possibility of war with India still exists, emphasizing that Pakistan remains prepared to respond to any external aggression.

His remarks come amid rising regional tensions and ongoing security challenges along Pakistan’s western border.
