Aleema Khan Says Imran Khan Will Be Shifted to Shifa Hospital After Bail
ISLAMABAD: Aleema Khan has said that former prime minister Imran Khan will be taken directly to Shifa International Hospital for medical treatment under his personal physician once his bail is granted.
Speaking to the media after appearing before an anti-terrorism court in Islamabad, Aleema Khan demanded that the PTI founder be allowed proper medical care at Shifa Hospital. She also expressed fears of her possible arrest.
She stated that Imran Khan’s release would only be possible if Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar hears the pending cases. “When bail is granted, we will take him straight from jail to Shifa Hospital,” she said, adding that his eye treatment would be conducted there immediately upon release.
Aleema Khan criticized the judiciary, saying that when cases are fixed for hearing, judges going on leave amounts to injustice. She further alleged that Imran Khan’s deteriorating eye condition did not develop overnight and blamed former Adiala Jail superintendent Ghafoor Anjum for what she termed criminal negligence. She said lawyers had been instructed to initiate legal proceedings against him under relevant criminal provisions.
She also accused the government of mistreating the PTI founder, claiming he was examined without the presence of family members or his personal physician. Referring to her sister’s last meeting with Imran Khan, she said he had conveyed a message expressing fears for his life.
