Dr Asim Yousaf Says Cannot Give Final Opinion on Imran Khan’s Health Without Personal Examination
LAHORE: Dr Asim Yousaf of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital has stated that he cannot provide a final medical opinion on Imran Khan until he personally examines him.
Dr Yousaf said that around 9:45pm last night, he held a detailed discussion with the Islamabad-based medical team that recently conducted Khan’s health assessment. He added that Dr Khurram Azam from Lahore also participated in the consultation.
According to Dr Yousaf, the conversation with the Islamabad doctors lasted approximately 40 minutes, during which various aspects of the PTI founder’s health were discussed. He noted that the doctors in Islamabad reported significant improvement in Khan’s condition.
However, Dr Yousaf clarified that he can neither reject nor fully endorse the medical report without conducting his own examination. He emphasized that a final opinion would only be possible after a direct check-up and requested permission to personally assess Khan’s medical condition.
