Both Parties’ Consent Necessary for Any Deal, Says Federal Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi

Rawalpindi: Federal Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi has stated that any political or legal deal requires the consent of both sides to be valid.
Speaking to the media during a visit to Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Abbasi said, “The desire to seize power by May 9 is misplaced. For any deal, mutual consent is essential, and only if both sides agree can a deal take place.”
He emphasized that every prisoner has the right to medical treatment. Abbasi noted that although he had repeatedly requested permission for a personal doctor while in jail, his requests were ignored. “Even before treatment, I was not allowed to meet my children while in custody,” he added.
Abbasi also mentioned his long-standing political engagement with traders, saying he had advised district authorities to address traders’ concerns before any strike.
Earlier during the visit, he inaugurated a facilitation center for patients at Benazir Bhutto Hospital.
