PM Shahbaz Sharif Launches Ramadan Relief Package 2026: Rs13,000 Cash for Each Eligible Family

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif officially launched the Ramadan Relief Package 2026, announcing that every eligible family will receive Rs13,000 in cash.

The package, with a total outlay of Rs38 billion, covers 12.1 million deserving families across the country, including the federal capital, all four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir. Payments are being transferred directly to beneficiaries’ digital wallets and bank accounts, ensuring a transparent and efficient process.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif highlighted that over 2.1 million families who are not part of any government welfare program will also benefit, while 10 billion rupees have been allocated for already enrolled families. In total, approximately 60 million individuals are expected to benefit from the package.

He emphasized that the outdated utility store system has been replaced, eliminating long queues and poor-quality goods. A high-level committee of federal ministers will oversee the package’s implementation, and a dedicated helpline, 9999, has been established for public complaints.

Secretary BISP, Aamir Ali, added that following the Prime Minister’s directives, this year’s Ramadan Relief Package has been enhanced to Rs13,000 per family, compared to Rs5,000 provided under the 2025 package, ensuring deserving citizens receive aid in a dignified and transparent manner.
