Balochistan CM Orders Immediate Action Against Police Brutality During Strike

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) – Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, has taken serious notice of an incident in which a police officer allegedly assaulted a detained citizen during a strike.
Expressing strong disapproval over the officer slapping the citizen, CM Bugti stated that any violation of the law will not be tolerated, and such inhumane and unprofessional conduct by police personnel is completely unacceptable. He emphasized that police officers must perform their duties strictly within the framework of the law, and no one is allowed to misuse their authority.
The Chief Minister highlighted that protecting the dignity of every citizen is a fundamental responsibility of the state and an essential part of professional police training. He directed the relevant authorities to ensure transparent, impartial, and immediate legal action against the officer involved to uphold justice and prevent similar incidents in the future.
CM Bugti reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to the rule of law, protection of human rights, and fair treatment of all citizens, stressing that no government official will be considered above the law.
