60-Hour Power Outage Plunges Quetta’s Dyal Bagh Area into Darkness

QUETTA (Qudrat Roznama): Residents of Quetta’s Dyal Bagh area, Masjid Usman Ghani Street, and surrounding localities have been facing serious difficulties due to a power outage that has continued for the past 60 hours.

According to locals, electricity supply has remained suspended since Friday afternoon. Despite repeated complaints and visits to the QESCO Kasi Road feeder office, power has yet to be restored. Residents said that whenever they approach the concerned office, they are told that a technical team has been dispatched and electricity will be restored shortly, but no progress has been made so far.

The prolonged outage during the cold season has severely affected daily life. Residents reported that water tanks have dried up due to the lack of electricity, compounding their hardships. They alleged that the concerned QESCO officials have shown negligence and have failed to respond effectively to the issue.

The affected citizens have appealed to Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the Chief Executive Officer of QESCO, and other relevant authorities to take immediate notice of the situation. They demanded action against the staff of the Kasi Road feeder for failing to restore power and called for urgent measures to ensure immediate restoration of electricity in the area.

Residents warned that if the issue is not resolved promptly, they will be left with no option but to stage a strong protest.
