Approval Granted for 1,000-Bed State-of-the-Art Tertiary Care Hospital in Malakand

Peshawar (Qudrat Daily) — In a significant move for the health sector, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi chaired a meeting in which a major healthcare project for the Malakand Division was approved.

It was decided that a 1,000-bed state-of-the-art tertiary care hospital will be established in Malakand, providing advanced medical facilities to the entire division. The Chief Minister directed that the process for acquiring the required land for the hospital should begin immediately.

CM Afridi stated that the establishment of the tertiary care hospital will offer major medical relief to the residents of Malakand, eliminating the need for patients to travel to Peshawar, Islamabad, or other major cities for treatment.

The new hospital will feature emergency services, advanced cardiac care, and critical facilities such as kidney transplants. He emphasized that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is committed to providing quality healthcare to citizens at their doorstep, and this project reflects that vision.

The completion of the hospital is expected to modernize the healthcare system in the region and significantly improve access to advanced medical services.
