Bushra Bibi’s Sister Demands Suspension of PTI Senator Mashal Yousafzai

Maryam Riaz Wattoo, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, has strongly criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Senator **Mashal Yousafzai**, demanding the suspension of her party membership.
In a message shared on social media, Maryam Riaz Wattoo stated that Imran Khan had issued clear instructions that if Mashal Yousafzai failed to correct her conduct, her party membership should be terminated. Addressing PTI Secretary General **Salman Akram Raja**, she said that the time had now come to implement Imran Khan’s directives.
Maryam Riaz Wattoo also reacted sharply to a statement made by Senator Mashal Yousafzai during a private TV talk show. She said that whatever discussion Imran Khan had with his sisters was a personal and family matter and should not be dragged into political controversy.
She further wrote that at a time when party workers and the public are deeply concerned about Imran Khan’s health, deliberate attempts are being made to divert attention by creating unnecessary controversies. She alleged that a new dispute was being intentionally stirred to distract from the real issue.
**Background of the Dispute**
The controversy surrounding Mashal Yousafzai began after PTI leaders staged a protest outside **Adiala Jail** over concerns regarding Imran Khan’s health. Later, during a private TV program, Senator Mashal Yousafzai claimed that Imran Khan’s family had contacted Salman Akram Raja and directed him to end the protest, after which the sit-in was called off.
The party leadership strongly rejected this claim. PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja termed the statements attributed to Imran Khan’s sister **Aleema Khan** regarding ending the protest as false and baseless.
A day earlier, Salman Akram Raja had also stated that **strict action against Mashal Yousafzai would be taken after February 8**.
