Balochistan Issue Should Be Resolved Through Dialogue: Aliya Kamran

Islamabad: Member of the National Assembly Aliya Kamran has urged the government to resolve the Balochistan issue through dialogue, stressing the need to protect the province’s children and address grievances through talks rather than force.

Speaking during a National Assembly session, Aliya Kamran questioned official claims that 177 terrorists had been killed, asking whether 12 or 14 districts were under militant control. She called for transparency and a realistic assessment of the situation on the ground.

“For God’s sake, save the children of Balochistan and resolve issues through dialogue,” she said, emphasizing that lasting peace can only be achieved through meaningful engagement.

Meanwhile, MQM MNA Sophia Saeed condemned all attacks taking place in Pakistan. Addressing the House, she questioned why state institutions often arrive late at the scene of incidents and asked whether public safety was not a collective responsibility.

Sophia Saeed also highlighted the need for effective local government institutions, saying strong and functional municipal systems are essential to improve response mechanisms and ensure better protection for citizens.
