Senate Session: Aleem Khan Apologizes to Senator Palwasha Khan

**Islamabad:** Federal Minister for Communications and Privatization, **Aleem Khan**, apologized to **PPP Senator Palwasha Khan** during a Senate session on Thursday.
Speaking on the Senate floor, Aleem Khan referred to an incident that occurred during a **standing committee meeting**, saying that in his **24 years in politics**, he has always maintained respect for colleagues. He expressed regret over the earlier confrontation and stated, *“Sometimes moments get out of hand. I sincerely apologize to Senator Palwasha Khan, Senator Pervez Rashid, and other members.”*
Senator Palwasha Khan responded, saying, *“Everyone’s dignity is equal. I hope that in future all members’ respect will be maintained, and such incidents will not occur in committee meetings.”*
The apology relates to an incident on **December 19** during the **Senate Standing Committee on Communications**, where a heated exchange took place between Aleem Khan and Palwasha Khan. Aleem Khan reportedly told Palwasha to “shut up,” to which she retorted, *“You shut up.”* Attempts by Senator Pervez Rashid to mediate were unsuccessful.
Aleem Khan concluded his remarks by emphasizing mutual respect, saying, *“If you respect, we will respect you in return.”*
