Sindh Government Announces Public Holiday on February 4 for Shab-e-Barat

Karachi: The Sindh government has announced a public holiday in all educational institutions across the province on February 4 on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat.

A formal notification in this regard has been issued by the Sindh School Education Department. According to the notification, all public and private schools throughout Sindh will remain closed on February 4 in observance of the religious occasion. The decision applies to educational institutions in all districts of the province.

The Education Department stated that the holiday has been declared keeping in view the religious sanctity of Shab-e-Barat and public convenience, allowing citizens to observe prayers and participate in religious activities with ease.

It is worth noting that earlier, the Punjab government had also announced a public holiday across the province on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat, following which Sindh announced the closure of educational institutions.
