26-Year-Old German Doctor Travels to Pakistan to Marry Local Youth

**Mandi Bahauddin:** A 26-year-old German doctor, Selma, recently traveled to Mandi Bahauddin to marry her Pakistani fiancé, 22-year-old Mohammad Akmal, in a love story that began online.

According to reports, the couple first connected while playing the online game Roblox. After nearly five months of online communication, Selma decided to come to Pakistan to marry Akmal, who hails from the village of Difar in Mandi Bahauddin. Akmal revealed in an interview with YouTube channel MY News TV that he proposed to Selma on her first day in Pakistan, and after overcoming a few initial hurdles, she joined him in the village.

Selma shared that adjusting to village life and daily household chores like washing clothes and dishes and baking bread was initially challenging but rewarding, and she was happy to be with her husband. Akmal added that their families fully supported the wedding, which cost approximately PKR 4.5 million, including travel and wedding expenses.

Selma, who holds both German and Bosnian passports, plans to live in Pakistan with Akmal and is learning Punjabi and Urdu to improve communication. The couple is reported to be living happily, maintaining love and mutual respect in their married life.

Social media users have praised the simplicity, sincerity, and cross-cultural love story of the couple, viewing their union as a successful example of online friendship and cultural harmony.
