PM Shehbaz Sharif: Pakistan Making Rapid Progress in Agriculture, Industry, Minerals, AI, and IT

**Davos:** Prime Minister **Shehbaz Sharif** has stated that **Pakistan is advancing rapidly in agriculture, industry, minerals, artificial intelligence (AI), and information technology (IT)**.
Addressing the **Pakistan Pavilion event** at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan has **overcome challenging circumstances** and efforts are ongoing to improve social indicators through joint and sustained initiatives.
He highlighted that Pakistan is moving forward swiftly to **increase IT exports**, while various programs have been launched to **train and skill the youth**, including **NewTech**, which provides global-standard certification training.
Shehbaz Sharif also noted Pakistan’s cooperation with **various countries in counter-terrorism efforts**. He mentioned that the **policy rate has been reduced from 22.5% to 10.5%**, and last year’s **agricultural exports were highly encouraging**. Investment in Pakistan’s **mineral sector** is also underway.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Pakistani youth are ready for employment in **Gulf countries and other parts of the world**, and there are **vast opportunities for collaboration in knowledge and technology sectors**.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan is progressing rapidly in **agriculture, industry, minerals, AI, and IT**, and added that the **privatization of PIA** has been completed with full transparency.
