Islamabad High Court Grants Two-Day Protective Bail to Imaan Mazari and Husband Hadi Ali Chatha

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted two-day protective bail to lawyer and activist Imaan Mazari and her husband Hadi Ali Chatha, directing them to approach the relevant trial court within two days.

Justice Azam Khan heard the petitions and ordered that both applicants not be arrested during the bail period. The court directed Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha to submit surety bonds of PKR 10,000 each.

Meanwhile, following the registration of a new FIR against Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha, the legal branch at the District and Sessions Courts, Islamabad, was sealed.

According to sources, the legal branch staff is accused of leaking the FIR, and on the instructions of senior police officials, the office was locked pending further action.

Sources further revealed that the FIR against the couple had been registered in July, and they had not obtained bail in that case. Imaan Mazari and Hadi Ali Chatha have been present at the Islamabad High Court since yesterday seeking protective bail.
