Case of Alleged Gang Rape in Police Custody Handed Over to FIA in Jacobabad

Jacobabad: The investigation into the alleged gang rape of a girl while in police custody has been handed over to the **Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)** for further probe.

A local court in Jacobabad granted a **two-day physical remand** of the six arrested police personnel accused in the case. According to the **Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP)**, two station house officers, **Maqsood Sanjrani and Nawaz Brohi**, have also been included in the investigation.

Earlier, allegations of rape were leveled against **seven police officials**, including the **SHO of RD-52 police station**, prompting **Sindh Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar** to take notice of the incident.

Authorities have stated that a thorough and transparent investigation will be conducted to ensure justice and accountability.
