Blazing a Path for Merit: Balochistan Conducts First Fully Digital and Transparent Recruitment, Ending Job Buying Forever

Quetta (Daily Qudrat) – **Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti** announced a historic milestone in the province’s governance by successfully completing the first-ever fully digital, paperless, and transparent recruitment process for **Sub-Accountant positions** in the Finance Department.

For the first time in Balochistan’s history, candidates underwent online tests and interviews, and results along with appointment letters were issued on the **same day**, reflecting a decisive move toward merit-based appointments and institutional reforms. Speaking at the appointment ceremony, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti said, “This day is a testament to our promise to end the buying and selling of government jobs in Balochistan forever. Today, merit, not influence or bribery, determines employment opportunities for our youth.”

He emphasized that candidates from all walks of life—a laborer’s son, a teacher’s son, and even a minister’s son—sat for the same standardized exam in identical conditions, with success based solely on merit. “This is a clear example of equality and justice in action,” he added.

Mir Sarfaraz Bugti further announced that similar **digital and transparent recruitment mechanisms** will soon be extended to divisional, district, and tehsil levels to ensure merit and rebuild public trust across all administrative tiers. He also highlighted plans to **revamp the Balochistan Public Service Commission**, introducing reforms and complete digitalization to make it a fully functional, transparent, and exemplary institution.

The Chief Minister congratulated all successful candidates for earning their positions purely on merit in **Grade 14**, praising their talent, hard work, and confidence in the transparent system. He also commended the Finance Department team, BUITEMS staff, and senior officials—including Chief Secretary Shakil Qadar Khan, Finance Secretary Imran Zarkoon, and Principal Secretary Babar Khan—for their role in making this historic recruitment process possible.

The appointment letters were distributed during the ceremony, attended by Provincial Minister Sardar Kohyar Khan Domki, MPA Haji Ali Madad Jattak, and other senior officials. Mir Sarfaraz Bugti reiterated that the government is fully committed to **bringing genuine, lasting change** in Balochistan’s public service and ensuring merit remains the sole criterion for employment.
