Pakistan Announces Admission of 500 Bangladeshi Students to National Universities

**Islamabad:** Pakistan has announced the admission of 500 Bangladeshi students to its national universities in the first phase of a landmark educational initiative.
An important agreement has been finalized between Pakistan and Bangladesh to strengthen cooperation in the field of education. Under the agreement, 500 Bangladeshi students will be offered admission to various Pakistani universities in the initial phase.
According to sources in the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the selected students will be enrolled in different universities across major cities of Pakistan, where they will pursue higher education on fully funded scholarships. The admissions will be granted in undergraduate programs.
HEC sources further revealed that a large number of Bangladeshi students participated in the entry tests for these admissions. The tests were organized by the HEC in Chittagong, Dhaka, and Rajshahi.
The scholarship program has been named after Allama Iqbal, symbolizing shared cultural and intellectual heritage. During the entry test process, Bangladeshi youth warmly welcomed Pakistani officials and interacted with them enthusiastically.
This educational agreement is being seen as a significant step toward promoting academic collaboration, youth exchange, and stronger bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
