Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Issues Ultimatum: ‘If Federal Government Fails to Fulfill Promises, Long March Will Resume

**Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta):**
Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and MPA Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch has warned that if the federal government fails to honor its promises and agreements, a renewed long march from Quetta to Islamabad will take place. He emphasized that the party will continue to raise its voice vigorously for the rights and development of Balochistan.

Speaking at a provincial Majlis-e-Shura and officials’ meeting of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan in Karachi, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman expressed concerns over the federal government’s failure to implement commitments made during previous long marches and agreements with the Grand Alliance. He said this inaction has created mistrust and frustration among the people.

The meeting, attended by members of the Shura and provincial leaders from across Balochistan, reviewed reports of party activities and services, and discussed future action plans.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman stated that Jamaat-e-Islami had organized a long march from Quetta to Islamabad to press for solutions to Balochistan’s pressing issues. Although promises were made during negotiations with the government and agreements were drafted, their implementation has yet to take place. He warned that the federal government is forcing them back into protest due to delays and unfulfilled commitments.

The Shura demanded that the government immediately implement the promises made during the long march, which included the recovery of missing persons, reopening of borders and trade routes, removal of humiliating restrictions at check posts, and ensuring that the benefits of CPEC projects like Sindh-Rikodak reach the people of Balochistan.

Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman further criticized the federal government for empty announcements, unfulfilled promises, and inaction, saying these have only increased the grievances and difficulties of Balochistan’s employees, youth, and citizens. He stressed that only the fulfillment of rightful demands with respect and dignity can address the anger and frustration of the people, not superficial statements or charity.

He concluded by warning that failure to act will compel the party to resume the long march, emphasizing that the struggle for Balochistan’s rights will continue until justice and tangible outcomes are achieved.
