Some Regions May Announce Separation in Coming Months, Warns Mahmood Achakzai

**Lahore (Qudrat Daily):**
Head of the Tehreek Tahaffuz Aain Pakistan, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, has warned that he fears some regions of Pakistan may announce separation within the next two to four months if the current situation continues.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Achakzai said that despite an atmosphere of fear, the people of Lahore gave them a warm reception. He clarified that they had not come to “conquer” Lahore but to launch a movement in connection with February 8. He said that everyone was performing their duties in their own way, including the police, even when vehicles were damaged.

He stated that since the adoption of the Constitution, both democratic and non-democratic forces have violated it. According to him, certain elements enjoy the freedom to tear apart the Constitution at will and even send politicians to the gallows. He described the Tehreek Tahaffuz Aain Pakistan as a final SOS call, saying that just as an SOS is issued when a ship is sinking, Pakistan is also sinking. He urged people to protest in their own ways on February 8.

Achakzai said that workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf are frustrated and are even criticizing their own leadership. He added that they advised them not to use abusive language, despite not being part of PTI. He emphasized that Pakistan is their shared home, but people are being forced to go abroad due to lack of employment opportunities. He remarked that those who “sell their conscience” are labeled patriots, while those who stand by the Constitution or demand their rights are branded as terrorists.

Referring to the events of May 9, Achakzai questioned why the Corps Commander House was left open and why a judicial commission, as demanded by PTI’s founding chairman, has not been formed. He clarified that the February 8 agenda is not limited to the release of Imran Khan, but is against what he described as widespread fascism in the country. He said the plan includes rallies and strikes wherever possible.

He further said that it has never happened in world history that a chief justice takes away the election symbol of a political party. He alleged that oppression and intimidation were carried out through force, adding that dragging women on the streets and taking them to police stations is unacceptable anywhere in the world.

Achakzai concluded by saying that all the crises Pakistan is facing are internal, and injustice destroys societies from within. He warned that the region is moving towards a dangerous conflict and lamented that Parliament has not even held debates on developments in neighboring areas. He criticized constitutional amendments that, in his view, have harmed the country despite slogans of democracy and public welfare.
