PPP Leader Says National Assembly Hindering Creation of New Province

*Lahore:* Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and former Punjab Governor, Makhdoom Ahmed Mahmood, has emphasized the need for the creation of new provinces in Pakistan, stating that the National Assembly is the main obstacle in this process.

Speaking informally to the media in Lahore, Makhdoom Ahmed Mahmood said that if the upcoming general elections are not conducted transparently, his family will refrain from contesting them. He added that his children would never associate their victories with Form 47.

He highlighted that no one in Pakistan has been a bigger donor than Asif Ali Zardari.

The former governor stressed that without implementing the resolution passed by the Punjab Assembly for creating a new province, justice cannot be delivered to the Saraiki people. He reiterated that the National Assembly remains a barrier to the establishment of the new province.
