Gold Prices Surge Again as Global and Local Markets Witness Sharp Increase

Karachi: Gold prices rose once again on Friday after four consecutive days of gains, with a strong upward trend observed in both global and local markets.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold jumped by a significant $57 per ounce, reaching $4,379. The surge in global prices had a direct impact on Pakistan’s local bullion markets.
Following the international trend, the price of 24-karat gold in local markets increased by Rs5,700 per tola, reaching Rs460,262. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs4,887 to Rs394,600.
Silver prices also recorded an increase alongside gold. The price of silver per tola went up by Rs227 to Rs7,862, while the price of 10 grams of silver increased by Rs195, reaching Rs6,740.
It is noteworthy that from Monday to Thursday earlier this week, gold prices in both global and local markets had remained under pressure and experienced a continuous decline before rebounding strongly.
