PTCL Takes Over Management of Telenor Pakistan

**Islamabad:** Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has officially taken over the management of Telenor Pakistan, marking a major development in the country’s telecommunications sector.

Speaking at a ceremony, PTCL President and CEO Hatem Bamatraf said that Telenor has now become part of PTCL. He termed the development a significant milestone for both PTCL and Pakistan’s telecom industry.

He said the company will focus on providing customers with seamless, high-quality, and uninterrupted services. According to PTCL, the formal takeover of Telenor Pakistan’s management signals the beginning of a new era of digital and transformative change in the country.

It is worth recalling that in October this year, the Competition Commission granted approval to PTCL for the acquisition of Telenor Pakistan.
