Balochistan Opens 664 New Schools, 45,000 Children Enrolled; 600 More Schools to Open Next Month

Quetta – Under the guidance of Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, the provincial government has opened 664 new schools across Balochistan, enrolling 45,000 students. An additional 600 schools are planned to open next month, further expanding educational access in the province.

During a high-level review meeting on strategic development projects, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir emphasized accelerating progress on key initiatives and improving governance. He stressed that development projects must be completed on schedule without compromising quality.

The meeting also highlighted other strategic initiatives, including the provision of solar electricity to eight towns, the Safe City Project for eight cities, road network improvements, municipal services enhancement, construction of additional classrooms in 3,000 schools, clean drinking water supply, and citizen grievance redressal mechanisms. Chief Secretary Qadir underlined that all projects would receive special attention to ensure the overall development and improved quality of life for the people of Balochistan.
