UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Arrives in Pakistan on Official Visit

Islamabad: President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has arrived in Pakistan, with his aircraft landing at Nur Khan Airbase in Islamabad.

The visit is being described as a new milestone in diplomatic relations between Pakistan and the UAE, reflecting the long-standing, brotherly, and enduring ties between the two countries.

During his stay, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed is scheduled to meet President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and other senior leaders. In view of the visit, the federal capital administration had earlier announced a public holiday in Islamabad.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the UAE president is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising ministers and senior officials. Discussions during the visit will focus on strengthening bilateral relations as well as exchanging views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif welcomed Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Pakistan on behalf of the people of Punjab. In her statement, she said that relations between Pakistan and the UAE are timeless and exemplary, adding that the first official visit of the respected UAE president is a matter of pride.

She expressed confidence that President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s visit would further strengthen bilateral ties and enhance cooperation between the two brotherly nations.
