New Statistics Released on Supreme Court Case Pendency After Transfer to Constitutional Court

Islamabad:New official statistics have been released regarding pending cases in the Supreme Court following the transfer of cases to the Federal Constitutional Court.

According to the data, the number of pending cases in the Supreme Court has decreased significantly to 33,796. Previously, as of November 13, a total of 56,608 cases were pending before the apex court.

Official figures show that 22,910 cases were transferred from the Supreme Court to the Federal Constitutional Court, resulting in a substantial reduction in the Supreme Court’s workload.

The report further stated that during the past week, 333 new cases were filed in the Supreme Court, while 304 cases were disposed of during the same period.

The statistics indicate that the transfer and disposal of cases have helped ease the pressure on the Supreme Court, contributing to improved judicial efficiency.
