Balochistan PAC Recovers Rs 8 Billion in One Year, to Take Suo Moto Action on Public Issues: Asghar Tarin

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta): Chairman of Balochistan Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Asghar Tarin, announced that the PAC has recovered Rs 8 billion for the national treasury within a year by issuing notices worth Rs 22 billion to various departments. He stated that the committee will now also take suo moto notices on public issues and has summoned officials responsible for breaking New Sabzal Road.
In an exclusive interview with a private TV channel, Asghar Tarin said that the issuance of Rs 22 billion in notices marks a significant step toward transparency and financial accountability in Balochistan. The recovered Rs 8 billion has strengthened the province’s financial position.
He added that 34 unauthorized accounts opened by provincial deputy commissioners were immediately closed by the PAC, with the funds transferred to the national treasury.
Tarin emphasized that the PAC will take action on citizens’ problems to ensure timely and effective resolution, reinforcing transparency across government departments. Officials involved in the demolition of New Sabzal Road under the Quetta Package have been summoned, and immediate action will be taken.
He stressed that PAC Balochistan’s primary objectives are to eliminate financial corruption, ensure departmental transparency, and provide relief to the public. The committee will closely monitor not only financial matters but also public services, development projects, and protection of government assets to ensure uninterrupted progress and justice for the people of the province.
