Aima Baig’s Statement About Receiving Music During Fajr Prayers Sparks Controversy

Islamabad: Renowned Pakistani singer Aima Baig has come under the spotlight after a controversial statement from a recent interview went viral on social media.

During the interview, Aima Baig shared that she is the kind of artist who immediately records a tune whenever a melody comes to her mind. While making an emotional revelation, she recalled an incident when a beautiful melody and song lyrics came to her mind around the time of Fajr prayers.

Aima explained that after offering Fajr prayers, she was feeling extremely sad and lonely, as she deeply missed her mother. She said she was looking at her mother’s belongings to pass the time, which overwhelmed her with emotion and brought tears to her eyes.

She further revealed that at around 6:00 am, a special melody and a few lyrics came to her mind for her mother, which she recorded instantly. Recalling her emotional state, Aima said that when she first stepped into the music industry, her mother fell ill, and she could not spend as much time with her as she wished.

The singer clarified that the song was dedicated to her mother, but she has not yet made its lyrics public. She also shared that the title of her upcoming album, “Gudiya,” has been named after her mother, who was lovingly called by the same name.

Aima Baig’s remarks have since generated mixed reactions online, with many expressing sympathy over her emotional experience, while others debated the context of her statement.
