Balochistan’s Progress Linked to Peace and Unity, Terrorists’ Designs Will Be Defeated Together: Corps Commander 12 Corps

A grand jirga was held in Dera Murad Jamali under the auspices of FC Balochistan North (114 Wing Sui Rifles), attended by the province’s top civil and military leadership along with a large number of tribal elders.

The jirga was attended by Corps Commander 12 Corps Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandokhail, Inspector General FC Balochistan (North) Major General Muhammad Atif Mujtaba, Inspector General Police, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir, and other senior officials.

Addressing the jirga, Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan said that the path to Balochistan’s development and prosperity lies in peace and unity. He emphasized that the people must collectively foil the designs of terrorists and that all segments of society must work together to defeat conspiracies against the country.

Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated that the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps will continue to utilize all available resources to ensure lasting peace, social stability, and improvement of basic facilities in the region. He added that the role of tribal elders is crucial in maintaining peace and harmony in the area.

Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandokhail, in his address, said that tribal communities have always been strong partners of state institutions. He stressed that a joint and coordinated strategy is essential to sustain peace, ensure the success of development projects, and secure a brighter future for the youth.

The jirga was also attended by Provincial Minister Mir Aasim Kurd Gailo, Parliamentary Secretary Haji Muhammad Khan Lehri, Sardar Baba Ghulam Rasool Umrani, Abdul Majeed Badini, Commissioner Naseerabad Salahuddin Naurozi, Commandant Sui Rifles Colonel Usman Aslam, and a large number of tribal elders.

Tribal elders appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Army and FC in establishing peace, particularly welcoming initiatives such as the Kohan Survey Project and enhanced security along the N-65 highway. They reaffirmed their commitment to stand shoulder to shoulder with the state institutions in promoting regional peace, social unity, and development.
