Case Registered Over Protest Outside Adiala Jail, Several PTI Leaders and Supporters Booked Under Anti-Terrorism Laws

Rawalpindi:A case has been registered at Police Station Saddar Baironi over the protest staged outside Adiala Jail, invoking provisions of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA).

According to police sources, the case names sisters of PTI founder Imran Khan—Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan—along with Noreen Niazi, Qasim Khan, Salman Akram Raja, Aliya Hamza, Naeem Panjotha, and Tabish Farooq. Renowned religious leader Allama Raja Nasir Abbas has also been included in the FIR.

In total, 35 nominated individuals and around 400 unidentified persons have been booked. The case includes Section 120, related to criminal conspiracy to wage an attack against the state.

Meanwhile, 14 of the nominated accused were presented before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi. The court approved a three-day physical remand of the accused and handed them over to the police for further investigation.
